But nobody talks about the mother standing at the school gate, trying her best not to cry. 🥹
Because sometimes…
The first day of school is harder for moms than kids. 💔
Dear Mom, Are You Feeling Emotional Today? 🥺
Maybe you woke up extra early this morning.
You carefully dressed your little one.
You fixed their hair.
You packed their bag.
You reminded them to listen to their teacher.
And then suddenly…
It was time to let them go. 🕊️
The tiny hand that always held yours started walking into a classroom.
And for a moment, your heart wasn’t ready.
It Feels Like Yesterday 🌷
Wasn’t it just yesterday that they were learning to walk?
Wasn’t it just yesterday that they cried for you in the middle of the night?

But today…
They’re carrying their own school bag.
Making new friends.
Starting a new chapter.
And somehow, while they are growing up…
We moms are learning how to let go a little at a time. 🥹
The House Feels Different 🏡
After dropping them off, you come back home.
And suddenly…
The house feels quieter.
Too quiet.
No little voice calling “Mom!”
No toys scattered around.
No tiny footsteps running through the room.
And you realize…
A piece of your heart is sitting in a classroom somewhere. 🎒🤍
Dear First-Time School Moms 💖
If this is your child’s very first day of school…
Please know that your feelings are normal.
You are not being dramatic.
You are not being overprotective.
You are simply a mother who loves deeply. 🥹
And love always feels emotional during new beginnings.
God Goes With Them When We Can’t 🙏
One of the most comforting thoughts today is this:
When we cannot be beside our children…
God can.
When we cannot hold their hand…
God can.
