The Question No One Ever Asked Me… Until My Son Did
Today was not just another day.
It was a day that touched my heart
in a way I never expected.
💭 A Simple Question in a Kids’ Prayer Meeting
My children joined their prayer meeting today.
The organizer asked all the kids a simple question:
“What is your biggest wish in life?”
One by one, the children started answering.
My daughter came to me and asked,
“Amma, what should I say?”
I told her gently,
“Say you want to score high marks.”
She smiled and went back happily.
💔 Then My Son Came…
After a few minutes, my son came to me.
He looked at me with innocence and asked:
“Amma… what is your wish?”
I thought he didn’t understand the question.
But he asked again…
“What is your wish, Amma? Tell me…”
😢 A Question That Broke Me
In that moment…
I didn’t have an answer.
Not because I don’t have wishes…
But because…
No one has ever asked me that before.
Not in my childhood…
Not in my youth…
Not even in my adult life.
No one stopped and asked:
👉 What do you want?
👉 What is your dream?
👉 What is your wish?
And suddenly…
My little son asked me.
💔 The Tears I Couldn’t Hold
I didn’t realize when my eyes filled with tears.
They just rolled down silently.
Because that one question touched a place in my heart that had been empty for years.
