When I Stopped Expecting from People, God Surprised Me 💗

There comes a quiet moment in every woman’s life…

A moment when she realizes she has been expecting too much from peopletheir words, their promises, their presence, their consistency.

And silently, without announcing it to anyone,

she begins to feel tired 😔.

Not tired of loving…

but tired of hoping people will show up the way they promised.

Maybe you’re there today 💭

Still believing…

Still waiting…

Still telling yourself, “Maybe this time they won’t disappoint me.”

But friend, February reminds us of something deeper 🌹

Love was never meant to be carried alone on human shoulders.

💔 Expectations Can Break Hearts…

We expect replies.

We expect loyalty.

We expect effort.

We expect love to look the same forever.

But people change.

Situations shift.

Feelings fade.

And suddenly, what we expected becomes the very thing that hurts us.

🤍 When I Lowered My Expectations… God Raised My Peace

One day, without drama or anger,

I whispered in prayer:

“Lord, I don’t want to expect anymore… I just want to trust You.” 🙏

I didn’t demand answers.

I didn’t ask for explanations.

I simply placed my expectations into His hands.

And that’s when God surprised me 💫

Not always by changing people…

but by changing my heart.

🌷 God’s Love Is Not Based on Expectations

God doesn’t love you because you’re perfect.

He doesn’t stay because you’re strong.

He doesn’t care less when you fail.

His love is steady, faithful, and intentional —even on ordinary days, not just special ones.

📖 “Blessed are those who trust in the Lord, whose confidence is in Him.”

— Jeremiah 17:7

💕 Dear Woman…

If today you feel disappointed…

If someone didn’t meet your expectations…

If your heart feels quietly heavy…

This is your reminder 🌸

👉 Stop expecting from people what only God can give.

👉 Start trusting God with what you cannot control.

He sees you.

He stays.

He surprises you — in ways you never imagined ✨

A Short Prayer For You:

Dear Jesus,

today I release my expectations into Your hands.

Heal my heart from silent disappointments.

Teach me to trust You fully — even when people fail me.

Amen

February talks about love everywhere…

But the love that heals deepest is still God’s love.

If this spoke to your heart,

share it with a woman who needs hope today 💌

With love,
