Loving Jesus Taught Me Who Truly Loved Me
For a long time, I thought love meant trying harder.
Trying to please.
Trying to adjust.
Trying to stay quiet so I wouldn’t lose people.
Maybe you’ve been there too, sister 🤍
Smiling on the outside… but slowly feeling empty inside.
I believed that if I loved people enough,
they would surely love me back.
But life taught me something different.
🌿 When Loving People Left Me Tired
There were days when I gave my best:
my time
my care
my patience
Yet I still felt unseen.
- Some people stayed only when it was convenient.
- Some loved me only when I was useful.
- And some slowly disappeared when I needed them most.
That’s when my heart became tired…
not angry, just tired 💔
✝️ Then I Started Loving Jesus
Not perfectly.
Not loudly.
Not with big words.
I just started loving Jesus quietly.
I spoke to Him when I had no words.
I sat with Him when I felt alone.
I trusted Him when I didn’t understand people anymore.
And slowly… something changed ✨
Not everyone around me changed.
But I did.
👀 Jesus Opened My Eyes
When I started loving Jesus,
He didn’t give me more people.
He gave me clarity.
I began to see:
- who genuinely cared
- who stayed without conditions
- who prayed for me silently
- who loved me without needing anything back
And I also saw who wasn’t meant to stay—and that no longer broke me.
Because Jesus taught me this truth 🤍
👉 Not everyone who walks with you is meant to stay with you.
👉 And that’s okay.
🌸 Real Love Feels Like Peace
The love Jesus showed me didn’t confuse me.
It didn’t exhaust me.
It didn’t make me question my worth.
Instead, it brought peace 🕊️
And once I tasted that kind of love,
I no longer begged for the wrong kind.
When you love Jesus, He teaches you:
And He gently removes what isn’t healthy for your heart.
📖 A Verse to Hold Onto
“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
He doesn’t just see your pain.
He stays with you in it 🤍
A Short Prayer for You
Jesus,
Teach me to love You more than I seek love from people.
Open my eyes to see who truly loves me.
Heal my heart where I’ve been hurt.
And give me peace in every relationship You allow in my life.
Amen.
Dear sister,
If loving people has left you tired, pause for a moment.
Try loving Jesus first.
Not to lose people… but to understand love clearly.
Because when you love Jesus, He doesn’t just love you back.
He teaches you who truly does. 🤍
You are not alone.
You are deeply loved.
And you are safe in His hands.
