For the Woman Who Dreads Valentine’s Day
Hello my dear woman of love,
Everywhere you look, Valentine’s Day speaks loudly.
Flowers.
Couples.
Smiles.
Celebrations.
And quietly, inside, you wonder,
“Why does this day feel so hard for me?”
Maybe it reminds you of:
a relationship that didn’t work
a love that changed
a season of waiting
or a loneliness no one sees
You smile politely.
You scroll past quickly.
You tell yourself, “It’s just a day.”
But your heart knows it’s more than that.
🌿 You Are Not Weak for Feeling This Way
Let me tell you something gently, sister 🤍
Dreading Valentine’s Day does not mean something is wrong with you.
It means:
you have loved deeply
you have hoped sincerely
you have felt loss honestly
Strong women still feel pain.
Faith-filled women still ache.
Mothers still long to be seen.
And God never looks down on you for that.
🤍 God’s Love Is Not Seasonal
Valentine’s love comes and goes.
It depends on people, moments, and moods.
But God’s love does not wait for a special date.
He loves you:
- on ordinary days
- on lonely nights
- on days you don’t feel chosen
- on days you feel forgotten
📖 “I have loved you with an everlasting love.” — Jeremiah 31:3
Everlasting means unchanging.
It means unconditional.
It means present even today.
🌸 If Valentine’s Day Feels Heavy This Year
If this day feels like too much,
you don’t have to force joy.
You don’t have to celebrate what your heart isn’t ready for.
You don’t have to pretend.
Instead:
rest
breathe
sit with God quietly
let Him hold the parts of you that feel unseen
God is not disappointed in your heaviness.
He is close to it.
A Gentle Prayer for You
Dear God,
You see the woman who feels heavy today.
You know the memories, the disappointments, the quiet tears.
Wrap her in Your love.
Remind her that she is chosen, cherished, and never alone.
Amen.
If Valentine’s Day is hard for you this year,
please remember this:
You are deeply loved — not because someone chose you,
but because God already has.
And that love doesn’t expire after February 14th.
You matter.
You are seen.
And you are held — today and always.
