Not Everyone Deserves a Seat at Your Table 🍽️

Hello my dear woman of God,

Let me ask you something gently… 💭

Have you ever left a conversation feeling drained instead of encouraged?

Have you ever sat at a “table” where your peace slowly disappeared?

If yes, this blog is for you. 🤍

Because here is a truth many women learn only after much pain:

👉 Not everyone deserves a seat at your table.

🍞 What Does “Your Table” Really Mean?

Your table is not just a dining table.

It represents:

Your time ⏰

Your thoughts 🧠

Your peace 🕊️

Your faith 🙏

Your dreams 🌱

Your children’s atmosphere 👩‍👧‍👦

Every conversation that happens around you shapes you—slowly, silently.

That’s why who sits at your table matters.

💬 Conversations Shape Direction

There are tables where people talk about:

God ✝️

Growth 📈

Purpose 🎯

Healing 💛

Dreams 🌈

And there are tables where people only talk about:

Other people 👀

Complaints 😤

Negativity 🌧️

Fear 😟

Comparison 💔

The Bible reminds us:

Bad company corrupts good character.”

1 Corinthians 15:33

This doesn’t mean everyone around you is “bad.”

It means not every environment is healthy for your season.

🤍 This Is Not Pride — This Is Wisdom

Choosing your table is not arrogance.

It is discernment.

Jesus Himself didn’t share His heart with everyone.

He loved all, but He trusted few.

You can:

Love people without allowing access

Forgive without reconnecting

Pray for others without sitting at their table

Setting boundaries is not unkind.

It is obedient to peace.

👩‍👧‍👦 Mothers, This Matters More Than You Think

Your children are always listening. 👂

They learn from:

The tone of conversations

The topics discussed

The way people speak about others

When your table is filled with gossip,

your children learn gossip.

When your table is filled with faith,

your children learn faith.

When your table is filled with hope,

your children grow hopeful.

You are not just choosing for yourself—

you are building an atmosphere for the next generation.

🕊️ Ask Yourself These Questions

Pause here for a moment… 🤍

Do I feel lighter or heavier after certain conversations?

Does this table push me closer to God or pull me away?

Does this environment nourish my calling or numb it?

Would I want my children to become like the people at this table?

Your answers will guide you.

📖 A Bible Verse for the Woman Choosing Wisely

“The righteous choose their friends carefully.”

Proverbs 12:26

God cares deeply about your associations Because he cares deeply about your destiny.

🌱 God Is Preparing You for a New Season

Sometimes God begins a new chapter by:

Changing your circle

Quietly removing people

Making old conversations uncomfortable

That discomfort is not rejection.

It is redirection.

If God is elevating you spiritually,

some tables will no longer fit.

And that’s okay. 🤍

A Short Prayer for You

Lord,

Give me the wisdom to choose my tables carefully.

Remove guilt when I need boundaries.

Protect my peace, my faith, and my family.

Surround me with conversations that honor You.

I trust You with my relationships.

Amen.

🌸 Final Thought

You don’t need to announce your boundaries.

You don’t need to explain your growth.

You don’t need permission to protect your peace.

Remember this today:

👉 Not everyone deserves a seat at your table.

And that decision could change your life.

With love,
Anisha.
