Day 20 — Gifts Fit for a King: Offering What We Have to Jesus
Christmas Series — Grace for Moms
π Hey sweet sissy… can we sit and talk today?
I want to start with a very real confession.
Sometimes when I look at what I have to offer God, it feels… small.
Do you ever feel that too? ππ
Maybe you look at your life and think:
✨ “I don’t pray enough.”
✨ “I don’t serve enough.”
✨ “I don’t have much to give.”
✨ “I’m exhausted… what can I possibly bring?”
As moms, our hands are full…
but our hearts often feel empty.
And yet — this is where Day 20 begins.
π The Wise Men Brought Gifts… But Look Closer
We often remember the wise men for their famous gifts:
π Gold
π€ Frankincense
π€ Myrrh
But their REAL gift wasn’t in their hands…
it was in their hearts.
Before they offered precious things…
they offered worship.
Before they placed gifts at the manger…
they knelt.
Their posture mattered more than their presents. π✨
And that, sweet friend, is the message today:
God looks at the heart behind the gift — not the size of it.
πΏ What Can We Bring to a King?
Let’s be honest…
Most of us don’t have gold lying around. π
We don’t have expensive treasures to place before Him.
We don’t have perfect lives to present.
We have:
π Tired hands
π Messy kitchens
π Overwhelmed minds
π Silent tears
π Sleepless nights
π Hope mixed with doubt
And you know what?
God considers those offerings precious.
He sees:
✨ a mother choosing patience
✨ a woman whispering a prayer in weakness
✨ a heart trusting when it doesn’t understand
✨ a spirit worshipping while waiting
Those are gifts fit for a King.
π―️ Bible verse:
“Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”
The wise men didn’t travel miles for the gifts.
They traveled miles for Jesus.
The gifts represented what was already in their hearts.
- Gold — loyalty
- Frankincense — worship
- Myrrh — surrender
Their hands held gifts.
Their hearts held devotion.
πΈ Sister, your ordinary is sacred.
Maybe today your gift looks like:
π©π³ cooking breakfast
π§Ί folding laundry
π school drop-offs
π§ comforting a crying child
π forgiving when it’s hard
π praying when you’re tired
Heaven sees it.
Heaven honors it.
Heaven values it.
Your ordinary becomes worship when offered to God. ✨
π Let’s get real…
Sometimes we feel insignificant.
Sometimes we think God wants more.
More prayer.
More strength.
More faith.
More perfection.
But listen closely:
God never asks for what we don’t have. He asks for what we already hold.
And what we hold — no matter how little —
becomes holy when we place it in His hands.
π What this means for us today
Let’s replace guilt with grace.
Instead of:
❌ “I must be perfect to give.”
Try:
✨ “I will give from where I am.”
Instead of:
❌ “My gift is too small.”
Try:
✨ “My heart matters more than the size.”
And instead of:
❌ “God deserves better than me.”
Try:
✨ “God desires me.”
Not perfection.
Not performance.
Just presence.
Just surrender.
Just love.
Those are the greatest gifts.
Prayer for Day 20:
Jesus,
I don’t have much,
but what I have — I offer to You.
My time, my heart, my faith, my family, my everyday moments… receive them as worship.
Teach me to give with joy, humility, and gratitude.
Help me remember that You value the giver more than the gift.
Amen.
π Today, ask yourself:
π What do I already hold that I can offer Jesus?
Not someday.
Not when life is easier.
Not when I feel more spiritual.
Today.
Right now.
As I am.
Write it down.
Speak it out.
Offer it with love.
π See you tomorrow!
With love,
