✨ Stop Returning to What God Rescued You From
Hey you… yes, you reading this 👋
Ever caught yourself walking back to the same pain God already pulled you out of? 😔
We all do it sometimes — replaying the past, reopening wounds, returning to places where we once lost our smile.
But here’s the truth 💥
God didn’t bring you this far just for you to go back to the same chains He already broke.
Remember Lot’s wife? (Genesis 19)
When God led Lot and his family out of Sodom — a city full of destruction — He clearly said, “Don’t look back.”
But she couldn’t resist. She turned around for one last look... and became a pillar of salt.
Why? Because sometimes our hearts crave what’s familiar — even when it’s toxic.
We miss people who hurt us. We revisit places that broke us.
But every time we do, we lose a piece of the peace God gave us.
💭 Reflection for You:
Sis, maybe God has already rescued you — from heartbreak 💔, anxiety, or friendships that drained you.
But are you still sneaking glances back at your past?
Still checking on people who were part of your pain?
Still replaying the “what ifs” in your mind? 😞
It’s time to stop. ✋
Because every time you look back, you delay your healing.
You can’t hold on to Egypt and expect to walk into your Promised Land.
📖 Bible Verse:
“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing!”
God is writing a new chapter in your story. Stop reading the old one over and over again.
A Short Prayer for You:
Dear Lord,
Help me let go of what You’ve already freed me from.
Close every door that leads me back to pain,
and strengthen my heart to walk forward in faith — not fear.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
