✨I Could’ve Taken Revenge… But I Chose Peace 🌿
Hey lovely women 💕
Let me ask you something — have you ever been hurt so deeply that your heart whispered, “I wish they could feel what I felt?” 😔
That quiet ache… that silent anger… I’ve been there too.
There was a time when someone I loved and trusted turned their back on me. They spoke things that broke my heart into pieces 💔. I cried, replayed their words in my mind, and thought — Should I give them a taste of their own medicine?
But that night, as I sat quietly, I remembered the story of David and Saul.
👑 David had every chance to take revenge.
Saul, out of jealousy, hunted him down again and again. One night, David found Saul sleeping — helpless before him. His men whispered, “This is your moment. End it.”
But David said, “I will not lift my hand against the Lord’s anointed.”
He chose peace over revenge. Grace over anger. And God honored that heart.
That story hit me so strongly.
I realized — I don’t need to prove anything. My peace is louder than any payback. 🌸
So I stopped replying to hurt with hurt.
I stopped explaining myself to those who were committed to misunderstanding me.
I stopped trying to “win.”
Because the real victory isn’t revenge.
It’s walking away with peace still in your heart. 🌈
And slowly, I began to see — God fights differently. He heals silently.
He restores beautifully. ✨
📖 Bible Verse:
“Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written:
‘It is mine to avenge; I will repay,’ says the Lord.”
— Romans 12:19 💫
A short prayer for you:
Dear Lord,
When someone hurts me, help me not to react in anger.
Teach me to stay silent, to trust Your timing, and to let go of bitterness.
Fill my heart with peace — the peace that comes only from You.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
Sometimes silence speaks louder than revenge. Let God handle what your heart can’t. 💖
