Selfishness – A Silent Struggle

Hello my dear sisters 👩‍🦰💜,

Today, let’s talk about something that quietly hides in many homes—selfishness among brothers. It may look small on the outside, but inside, it can hurt deeply. 🌵

Have you seen this? 👉

Sometimes, brothers compete in strange little ways.

For example:

👕 When you wear a new shirt, suddenly someone says, “It doesn’t look good.”

But the very next day, they wear the same style shirt and say, “It looks perfect on me.” 🤷‍♀️

This may look like a joke, but at the heart of it lies a small seed of selfishness 🌱. It’s like saying, “I don’t want you to shine, I want to shine instead.” 🌟

And this is not just about clothes or things—it’s about hearts. When love gets mixed with envy, selfishness is born. 😔

📖 Bible verse:

“Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves.”

- Philippians 2:3

Wow! ✨ That means God calls us to celebrate each other’s joy, not compete with it.

A Short Prayer for You:

Lord Jesus,

We bring every sibling relationship to You. 💞

Heal the hidden wounds caused by selfishness.

Teach us to love without envy, and to find joy in each other’s happiness.

Let every home be filled with peace and kindness.

Amen.

My dear sisters,

Remember this—selfishness may try to enter families, but love is always stronger. 🌷 Instead of fighting for the spotlight, let us walk in humility and let our light shine naturally. 🌟

Even if brothers sometimes act selfish, don’t let that steal your peace. 💜 Be confident in who God made you to be, and shine with grace. 🌸

With love,
Anisha 💖
