☕✨ When You Skip Your Morning Coffee with Jesus ✨☕
There are mornings when we wake up already feeling tired — hair messy, mind messier, and heart heavy. We rush into the day, trying to beat the chaos, forgetting to sit quietly with the One who brings true peace. And by midday, it shows: our spirit feels restless, words become sharp, and patience runs thin.
Starting your day with Jesus isn’t just a ritual; it’s a gentle refill of the heart. It’s choosing to let His words settle the storms before the world even tries to stir them up. Like the warmth of that first cup of coffee, His presence awakens us, comforts us, and gives us strength that caffeine can’t.
🌿 A story to remember:
In Luke 10:38–42, we see Martha busy and overwhelmed, doing everything to prepare and serve — yet she feels upset and unnoticed. Meanwhile, her sister Mary simply sits at Jesus’ feet, listening. Jesus gently reminds Martha that "only one thing is needed" — to be with Him first. It wasn’t that Martha’s work didn’t matter, but that her heart needed filling before her hands could serve.
We, too, are Marthas some days — running, worrying, forgetting to rest in Him first. But being Mary, even for a few minutes each morning, changes how we see and handle everything else.
📖 Bible verse:
“But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”
— Matthew 6:33 ✨
A short prayer for you:
Dear Jesus,
Teach me to pause and sit at Your feet before I face the world.
Fill my empty cup with Your peace, strength, and love.
Help me remember that a day started with You is a day anchored in hope.
Amen.
✨ Before you check your phone, your list, or your worries — check in with Him. Just five minutes with Jesus can change your whole day.
