Not Everyone Who Hugs You Loves You
You’ve probably met them too — the ones who smile wide 😊, ask you how you're doing 💬, and even offer to help 🙋♀️...
But the moment you leave the room 🚪, they tear you down with their words 🗣️.
You cook for them 🍛, welcome them with love 💕, treat them like your own family 👨👩👧👦 — but what do you get in return?
Rumors 🐍, comparisons 📏, and criticism behind your back 🪞.
Sister, you're not alone 🤝.
Many women go through this silent pain 💔.
Some are wounded by relatives who pretend to support them but secretly envy their happiness 👀.
Some are hurt by friends who show affection in public 🤗 but mock them in private 🎭.
And sadly, some are betrayed even by close family who hide bitterness behind fake blessings 😢.
It’s exhausting, isn’t it? 😓
To be kind and real in a world full of masks 🎭.
To stay soft when others keep hurting you 🫀.
But here’s what I want to remind you today —
God sees everything. 👁️
Every tear 😢, every backstab 🔪, every fake hug 🤷♀️.
Remember Judas Iscariot?
He wasn’t just a disciple.
He was one of the closest to Jesus 🤝. He ate with Him 🍞, walked with Him 🐾, saw His miracles ✨.
And what did he do?
He betrayed Jesus with a kiss
Not with a slap.
Not with a sword.
But with a kiss — the ultimate act of false affection.
Even Jesus, the Son of God, was not spared from fake love 🙏.
But betrayal did not stop His purpose 🔥.
And your purpose will not be stopped either 💪.
Bible verse:
“Do not trust a neighbor; put no confidence in a friend... a man's enemies are the members of his own household.”
- Micah 7:5-6
A Short Prayer for You:
Dear Heavenly Father,
When others hurt me behind my back, give me the strength to stay kind.
When fake hugs surround me, remind me that You embrace me with truth.
Help me not to grow bitter, but to grow wiser.
Surround me with people who love purely, speak kindly, and walk honestly.
I trust You to protect my heart and lead me into peace.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
