Forgiving Isn’t Easy — But It Sets You Free π±
She hurt me.
Maybe it was just words… or maybe it was something deeper.
π️ A harsh comment from a friend.
π️ A mother-in-law’s criticism that still stings.
π️ Or maybe your own husband’s words that felt unfair.
We keep replaying it at night, don’t we?
“Why did she say that?”
“How could he not understand?”
But here’s the quiet truth God showed me:
Forgiveness isn’t about proving them wrong.
It’s about freeing your own heart from the weight of pain.
Forgiving doesn’t mean what happened was okay.
It means you choose to hand it over to God… and stop carrying it alone.
π± You may never get an apology.
π± They may never understand how deeply it hurt you.
π± But you can still forgive — because your heart deserves peace.
And when you do, you’ll find:
✨ The bitterness softens.
✨ The memories lose their sharpness.
✨ And your soul finally breathes again.
Forgiveness doesn’t set them free…
It sets you free. π€
π Bible Verse:
“Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.”
— Ephesians 4:32
A Short Prayer for You:
Lord,
Give me strength to forgive, even when it feels impossible.
Help me release this pain into Your hands,
and fill my heart with Your peace.
Amen.
“Maybe someone you love is struggling to forgive — share this, and be a quiet blessing to her.” π±
